An Open Letter from our Managing Partner

June 2, 2020 — An Open Letter

“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.” Dr. Martin Luther King
I can’t sit silent when there are things that matter.
Discrimination is the greatest threat to our community built on trust and relationships.
CNM rejects racism, bigotry and hate in all of its forms.

We can’t talk about recent events in Minneapolis without also acknowledging the painful truth that racism, bigotry and hate still exist in a systemic way against black and brown communities. Clearly, there is still lots of work to do. While I do not support violence, I understand that when people feel helpless, they feel the need for significant impacts in an effort to bring change.

My hope is that we will all join in solidarity to put in our work to fulfill Dr. King’s dream he articulated in August 1963, where his “four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”

May we work to make his dream our reality.
