Director

Ryan Pettit is a Director in CNM’s Orange County office with 18 years of combined experience in audit, accounting advisory, and SEC reporting industry experience.  Ryan’s primary expertise is in guiding public and private companies through complex transactions, considering the technical accounting, controls, and audit implications.  His experience includes acquisition accounting, complex revenue arrangements, IPOs and SPACs, as well as the preparation and review of 10-K, 10-Q, and private financial statements and related reporting.  Ryan enjoys assisting companies in striking the balance in producing quality technical accounting, reporting, and controls deliverables while focusing on what matters by keeping practicability, materiality, and requested timeline top of mind.

Prior to CNM, Ryan began his career at Deloitte with over 15 years in the firm’s audit practice.  He also has significant industry experience and led Herbalife Nutrition’s SEC reporting and global technical accounting departments.  Ryan also spent time as a Partner in the Connor Group, leading technical accounting and IPO advisory services.  At Deloitte, Ryan spent two years in a National Office role as part of the management development program for top performers and focused on technical accounting research and consultations, specializing in revenue recognition, business combinations, spin-offs, carve-outs and impairments.  He spent his final 3 years at Deloitte as a Managing Director, and his responsibilities included leading all client services for a multi-billion-dollar multinational private entity, pre-SPAC/IPO start-ups, miscellaneous private entities, as well as serving as a component audit leader for a Fortune 100 public company.  Ryan has extensive experience in Aerospace and Defense, Manufacturing, Consumer Products, as well as with various technology start-ups.
