Woodland Hills, CA (March 22, 2023) –CNM LLP, a leading technical advisory firm headquartered in Southern California, is expanding its portfolio with the establishment of its first international office in Malaysia led by Beatrice Leong, a CNM Partner and 19-year veteran of the firm. The new Malaysia office follows the firm’s 2019 expansions to New York City and San Diego.
The new Malaysia office in Kuala Lumpur’s Golden Triangle will provide the firm the ability to advance its global position, offer additional opportunities and support for current and future clients, and diversify the professional development of CNM team members.
“For two decades, CNM has maintained an extraordinary commitment to fostering the growth of our people and clients, and the Malaysia office will enable us to do that on an even larger scale,” said CNM Managing Partner Sanjay Sheth. “I’ve been fortunate to know and work alongside Beatrice for many years, and I have complete confidence in her ability to thrive at the helm of this expansion.”
Since CNM’s founding in 2003, Leong has been a natural leader in guiding her team to deliver superior client service. As Partner, her leadership and dedication have been instrumental in CNM’s stellar reputation for excellence. Now, after years spent crystallizing a lasting legacy in CNM’s Los Angeles office, she is poised for a seamless transition to Malaysia — her home country.
“Expanding to Malaysia will be a milestone moment for CNM and will help accelerate our growth plan as the firm enters its 20th year,” said Leong. “On a personal level, this is a homecoming for me and my family. Having graduated from University Tunku Abdul Rahman and starting my accounting career at PwC Kuala Lumpur, I have full confidence in what Malaysia can offer in terms of a top-notch, committed talent pool. Working with CNM has been such a rewarding experience in my professional story arc, so I’m eager to leverage this new position to establish a workplace that embodies our people-first culture in the CNM Malaysia office.”
Gaining ground in Malaysia will open the firm to a new talent pool to accelerate growth and make CNM more competitive in the domestic and global marketplace. The Malaysia office will be fully integrated into the larger CNM team and reflect the firm’s core culture and values, focusing on people, open and honest communication, and a passion for excellence.
“Opening up a talent pool of high-quality professionals outside of the United States will be a crucial enabler of CNM’s continued growth,” said CNM President Bill Strong. “We’re building a world-class office in the heart of Kuala Lumpur that will reflect the unique culture of the region while being true to the strong history and culture of the firm built entirely around our people. Not only will our commitment to Malaysia bring economic benefits to our firm and our clients, but it will also be a competitive differentiator in the market.”
