Managing Director

Bruce Pounder is a Managing Director in CNM’s New York office with 37 years of experience in financial accounting. He leads engagement teams to help companies implement new accounting standards and policies, such as ASC 606, Revenue from Contracts with Customers and ASC 842, Leases. He has also led professional committees and working groups to provide input to standard-setters and regulators on emerging issues in corporate financial reporting.

As the author of numerous published books and articles on financial accounting and reporting, Bruce is a globally recognized expert. His insights have been quoted extensively in Bloomberg, Reuters, Compliance Week, and other media outlets.

Prior to joining CNM, Bruce founded three professional-services firms and was a client-serving executive in EY’s Financial Accounting Advisory Services practice. In addition to his extensive experience as a trusted advisor, he has been the CFO of a private company and held VP and Director positions in a public company.
