Chris Montgomery is the SVP of Business Development in CNM’s San Diego Office, leading all business development activities across the firm, focusing on pre-IPO and public companies within the technology, biotech, consumer, and defense sectors.
Prior to joining CNM, Chris worked at Cooley LLP, an Am Law 200 firm, where he led business development efforts for emerging and high-growth companies in the areas of technology (SaaS), crypto, blockchain, media, life sciences, and venture capital. He provided guidance and mentorship to entrepreneurs and C-suite executives as they built and scaled their businesses. Chris has over 30 years of senior global operations experience with Vivendi Universal, Sony, EMI, MP3.com, Bertelsmann, and Target. He has spent many years within start-up environments including successful exits to Amazon and Vivendi. He has managed teams in international territories that include the USA, CAN, MEX, UK, and Europe.
