Jeffrey Weiss is a Managing Director with over 17+ years of experience in Internal Audit, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Compliance, and consulting and serves as market lead for CNM’s Orange County Compliance and Risk Advisory practice. Jeffrey has served companies of various size and industry, including the restaurant industry, to successfully achieve SOX compliance through his familiarity and collaboration with the Big 4 audit firms.
Jeffrey’s SOX compliance experience includes advising pre-IPO on internal controls, leading and successfully implementing year-one SOX compliance programs, and supporting management with material weakness remediation and ongoing SOX assistance under 404(a) as an emerging growth company and 404(b) compliance. He brings forward industry relevant experience and leading practices to design a streamlined internal control environment and guide clients on adopting external audit and PCAOB standards while seeking to maximize reliance and optimize the cost of compliance.
Prior to joining CNM, Jeffrey was a Director at Protiviti within their Internal Audit and Financial Advisory practice. At Protiviti, Jeffrey worked with national and multi-national SEC registrants as well as private companies to standardize and streamline operational processes, strengthen financial controls in compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, and improve compliance with applicable policies, standards, and regulations.
