Jennifer DiGiovanna is a Partner with 17+ years of experience in public accounting, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Compliance, and consulting, and serves as the market lead for CNM’s New York Internal Controls & SOX Advisory practice.

Jennifer’s SOX experience includes advising pre-IPO clients on internal controls, leading year-one SOX compliance programs, material weakness remediation, controls rationalization, and ongoing SOX assistance under both 404(a) and 404(b). As a trusted advisor, she provides value-added services that help organizations achieve their business objectives by leading project teams and working closely with clients to design and enhance internal control environments that are both suitable and growth-sustainable. Jennifer utilizes her public accounting experience to guide clients in adopting external audit and PCAOB standards while seeking to maximize reliance and optimize the cost of compliance.

Prior to joining CNM, Jennifer served as a Financial Services Auditor at Ernst and Young, where she worked with payment processing, banking, broker-dealer, and wealth management clients in audit and advisory capacities. For the majority of her tenure (10+ years) at EY, she serviced the largest credit card processor in the United States.  She also led the financial statement audit and SOC-1 attestation engagements for the merchant services business unit. She has a deep understanding of the processes, controls, and accounting issues specific to the payments industry. At EY, she guided clients through adopting COSO 2013 frameworks, adopting new accounting standards such as ASC 606 and 842, tested broker-dealer compliance in accordance with FINRA and SEC guidelines, and evaluated and documented the effectiveness of accounting and operational systems and their internal controls to provide recommendations to C-suite management and audit committees.
