Larry Gee is a Technical Consultant in CNM’s Professional Practice Group. He is based in CNM’s Orange County office and has over 30 years of experience in private and public accounting. His primary role is to provide technical accounting expertise and quality assurance on accounting inquiries, as well as assist clients in discussing complex accounting issues with their auditors. In addition, Larry has extensive experience in financial services, leading teams responsible for accounting policy, SEC and bank regulatory reporting, general accounting, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and finance systems and analytics.
Prior to joining CNM, Larry worked for several large financial institutions as chief accounting officer, corporate and division controller, and financial accounting and accounting policy manager. His range of experience spans from analyzing and determine the accounting for significant, complex and unusual transactions to consulting with business units on the accounting and reporting of new and proposed transactions. Larry has managed the centralization of 45 accounting staff responsible for the accounting and reporting of commercial and consumer loans, securities and derivatives, other investments/variable interest entities, and corporate functions. In addition, he has also worked as a staff member of the Financial Accounting Standards Board.
