Shelly Gibbons is a Director in CNM’s Los Angeles office with eleven years of experience in public accounting. Her primary expertise is assisting clients in their initial public offering (“IPO”) process, drafting financial statements and footnote disclosures for S-1 filings, and preparation of technical accounting memos.
Prior to joining CNM, Shelly worked at KPMG as a Senior Manager, where she managed and led audit engagements with multi-functional teams of two to ten members and up to three teams operating concurrently, including oversight of audit strategy, substantive and control testing procedures, documentation, and compliance with GAAP and SEC rules. Shelly provided leadership and communicated with clients to discuss accounting and compliance issues, including the interpretation of GAAP, SEC, Sarbanes-Oxley, and PCAOB rules and regulations. Her primary clients were Maguire Properties, Inc. and Anschutz Entertainment Group.
