Karem (Taj) Tariq is a Director in CNM’s Orange County Office with 9 years of experience in public accounting. His primary expertise is in technical accounting research, financial reporting, Sarbanes Oxley implementation, and testing and process flow charts and narratives. Taj has worked in various industries, including consumer products, energy, industrial manufacturing, real estate, restaurants and hospitality, and technology.

Prior to joining CNM, Taj worked at KPMG as an assurance senior manager, where he planned, coordinated, and conducted integrated and private entity financial audit statements. Their size and complexity ranged from privately held entities with multi-million revenues, to multinational publicly traded entities with multi-billion revenues. He performed SOX 404 procedures and substantive testing, including revenues, inventories, debt modifications & extinguishments, equity instruments, goodwill, intangibles, long-lived assets, exit & disposal costs, cost & equity investments and business combinations, on a variety of accounts. Taj also analyzed 10-K and 10-Q regulatory filings to assess compliance and financial performance, and to facilitate the timely completion of the audit.
